Help & FAQ
Answers to common questions. Still stuck? Email us anytime.
Is Lucidly free?
Yes — on-demand fact-checking is free on all 12 platforms. Premium ($10/mo or $100/yr) adds automatic checking, comments, and more.
How accurate is it?
Verdicts are AI-generated with a confidence score and real sources. They're a strong starting point, not the final word — always check the cited sources.
What data do you collect?
Only the text of posts you choose to check (used for analysis, then discarded) and, if you sign up, your email. We never track browsing or sell data.
Which browsers work?
Chrome and Chromium-based browsers including Edge, Brave, and Arc.
Which platforms does it support?
Twitter/X, Facebook, Reddit, Truth Social, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Pinterest — 12 in all.
How is this different from just searching it myself?
Lucidly reads the exact claim in context, checks it, and shows a verdict with sources right on the post — in seconds, without opening new tabs or wording a search yourself.
Will it slow down my browsing?
No. Lucidly stays out of the way and only checks a post when you click its icon (or automatically, if you turn that on with Premium). It never runs in the background on pages you're not reading.
How do I cancel Premium?
Anytime. Open the extension's Premium page and click "Manage billing" to cancel through Stripe — you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Not happy? Email us within 14 days of your first payment for a refund.
Does Lucidly work on mobile?
Not yet. Lucidly is a browser extension, and mobile Chrome doesn't support extensions. It works on desktop Chrome and Chromium browsers like Edge, Brave, and Arc.
